Embracing All Abilities Thru the Arts is a two-day event hosted by Outside the Lines Studio showcasing the artistic development and talents of people living with disabilities. This festival will celebrate the journey of art-making and individual artist development and will showcase artwork, live music, and a screening of short films.
On Friday, and opening reception will take place from 4 to 8 p.m.
Saturday (1 to 6 p.m.) will be a day full of interactive experiences and workshops such as community arts, dance, and film.
Free. Presented by Outside the Lines, Medford Arts Center, Inc., Medford Film Collaborative, and the Boston Indie Mafia as part of Arts Across Medford.
Outside the Lines Studio is an arts-based alternative day program, collectively run by artists, for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. Its mission is to provide a creative, supportive community, where each individual can explore their own unique potential in a way that best suits their interests, talents, and learning styles. In addition to expressive therapy, job-training, and community integration, OTL provides opportunities for our individuals to gain recognition and income as artists; 60% of proceeds from art sales go directly to the individual artist.
